DE is made from crushed fossils of freshwater organisms & marine life! Although to us it just looked like powder, underneath a microscope it's razor sharp like glass, which can kill fleas, ticks, lice, ants, and mites on your dog our around the house!
Unlike toxic oral or topical chemicals, this is 100% natural and will cause no harm to our dog, humans or other animals.
Topically: sprinkle on your dog and rub into their coat. It can be used to kill active fleas & prevent some bugs!
Simply sprinkle it on & rub in their coat before your next adventure!
Use in between baths to freshen up coat.
& use inside home on bedding/couches etc for active flea infestations - sprinkle on bedding, couches, carpets, let sit (ideally for 1-3 days) then vacuum!!
Note - could be drying to some dogs skin.
Orally:
You can also give DE orally to eliminate roundworms, hookworms, pinworms and whipworms.
DE does not work for heartworms.
For worms, you can start feeding DE for 30 days to make sure you get rid of all newly hatching eggs. It will catch the cycling of the worms through the lungs and back to the stomach.
Mix it in with food with some liquid to moisten the powder.
Internally in dogs, give these amounts:
Small dogs and puppies: 1/2 tsp per day in food
Up to 50 lbs: 1 tsp per day in food
Over 50 lbs: 1 Tbsp per day in food
100 lbs or more: 2 Tbsp per day in food
Yard & Garden:
Use in the garden or around your house to repel and kill ants, caterpillars, army worms, cockroaches, snails, spiders, termites, silverfish, earwigs, bed bugs, fruit flies and beetles!
We use this around our back patio when we get a shit ton of ants. It seems to work almost instantly!! Repeat as often as needed & after heavy rain. We also sprinkle it over our garden plants! Safe & effective!
If you plan to buy a larger bag you need to be sure it is 100% DE
Some brands (and even the brand I like) has a few products that actually contain added chemicals.
These are NOT safe for topical or oral use in your dogs.
Although the added chemicals are fine for your garden and backyard, we prefer the 100% Pure DE.
